Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to site team leader, the role of Site Installer requires extensive travel and is a field based role which involve frequent stays away from home, working on construction sites. You will be part of a small two or three person team expected to deliver projects on time and to budget. You will understand the importance of the customer and endeavor to exceed their expectations through the delivery of well managed and controlled projects; ensuring the highest possible quality standards for product installation are achieved.

You will be self-motivated, have a great attitude to work and enjoy working as a team. Happy to work under instruction or on your initiative, problem solving will be second nature. You will probably have a background in the trades and have come from a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or construction background. Ideally, you’ll have at least two years of solid job experience. You are now looking for a new challenge in a progressive company. We will train you to become a qualified installer and if you prove yourself, you will open up opportunities to progress. With the right attitude there really is no limit.

A typical day on site will include:

  1. Attending client site induction

  2. Attend regular tool box talks delivered by Site Team Leader/Project Delivery Manager

  3. Setting up the cutting and preparation area

  4. Taking deliveries

  5. Measuring up the first installation area(s)

  6. Create and complete cutting lists

  7. Client liaison

  8. Completing work based documentation such as, site diaries, material record keeping, reporting issues, timesheets, expenses etc

  9. Installation (e.g. hand rails, crash rails, sheeting)

    Main responsibilities will include:

  • Product installation (cutting, leveling, measuring, gluing & fixing)

  • Support the site supervisor to deliver projects on time and to budget

  • Team working

  • Liaising with customers/clients where appropriate

  • Completing site surveys where necessary (training will be provided)

Experience

The successful candidate is likely to possess some or all of the following experience;

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience, ideally on construction sites or a manufacturing environment

  • Working in teams

Education

The role does not require any specific academic qualifications. However, GCSE qualifications in Maths and English up to Grade C are desirable along with any other relevant work based qualifications as detailed below.
