Project co-ordination with customers, contractors and sub-contractors.
Conducting site surveys and production of written site survey notes, photographs and drawings.
To design a system in detail to ensure that all necessary equipment and parts are specified at the proposal stage
Production of 'Pencil’ type systems diagrams, connection spread sheets etc to aid system comprehension by others and to pass to our CAD draughtsmen for production of full working drawings.
Responsible for ensuring that the Installation Diary is kept up to date with current and pending projects that you are responsible for.
In consultation with the Operations Manager allocate staff to projects.
To keep senior management regularly informed of the status of current and pending projects and to bring any concerns promptly to the attention of the senior management.
To be responsible for Staff Health and Safety on site and to production of site specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments
Creation of initial configuration software for such devices as Audio DSPs, Matrices etc
When necessary to provide project details and equipment specifications to in-house and third party control system programmers and provide assistance with any control system issues.
Undertaking or supervising system pre-build works at our premises to the required standards.
Preparing for and supervising 'Factory Acceptance Tests’ conducted on our premises.
Coordinate with the Project Coordinator the booking of crew accommodation, travel arrangements, hire vehicles and hired in plant and tools required for project related site work.
To schedule, oversee and take part in the on-site installations of systems with the Installation Team
To set up, commission and test systems to meet the required standards.
To handover the systems to clients and provide systems training where required.
Responsible for gathering all 'on-site change’ information and site specific details such as IP addresses, phone numbers etc and passing this information via a marked up CAD drawing to the CAD draughtsmen for the production of as-built drawings.
Responsible for ensuring the timely production of O&M manuals and as built drawings (by others).
Responsible for ensuring that copies of all final version software are saved on to our server promptly on completion of the project.
Responsible for ensuring that 'Installation Acceptance Certificates’ are completed, signed by both customer and representative and filed in a timely manner on completion.
To provide technical support for all systems installed, from advice to arranging repairs and modifications.
To provide technical information and support for all the Sales, Installation and Design staff.
To assist the Sales Department to take a technical brief for a project from the Client when required.
To assist the Sales Department in specifying equipment for a project or a job and to cost installation accessories and labour
Professional AV and/or Broadcast Television systems engineering knowledge.
An understand of IT Networking in realtion to AV/Broadcast.
Communication skills - ability to deal politely and efficiently with customers both on the telephone and in meetings.
Experience of managing a team and being a team player.
Experience in software set up of routing systems, DSPs, graphics processors etc
Ability to work under pressure.
Current and clean Driving License.
2D CAD skills.
Infocomm CTS Certification.
Infocomm CTS-D or CTS-I would be of benefit.
Prince2 Project Management certification would be of benefit.
