Candidate Criteria:
- A minimum of six years of experience managing or overseeing a team is required.
- Experience of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
- Significant experience of coding applications.
- An in-depth grasp of Defence Simulation engineering, preferably ISR related, fundamentals is required.
- The capacity to keep a cheerful mood in a high pace environment and boost a team’s morale.
- Interpersonal and communication abilities are exceptional.
- Working both on-site at customer location and in the office.
- UK National for government security vetting and must hold, or have held, an SC.
Job Role:
The role will provide the opportunity to develop the engineering team and lead the company’s engineering approach. The successful candidate will be able to shape future solutions, ensure that the company stays at the front of Defence simulated and VR/AR training solutions.
Developing the Engineering Team, designing solutions to fit clients’ requirements, assigning duties to engineering staff, creating long and short-term project goals, negotiating with suppliers and clients, ensuring that projects stay within schedule and cost constraints, and generating reports for the board of directors are all responsibilities of the Chief Engineer/Technical Director.
