Our client is a leading Manufacturer of Special Purpose Machinery for the food industry.
Increased growth has led to the opening of a new role for an Electrical/Mechanical Installation/Support Engineer to join their Birmingham based operation.
Candidate Criteria:
Several years servicing experience with a focus on installation, repair and testing of electronic and mechanical equipment
Experience in a field engineering role, dealing with mechanical, electrical and software issues is considered highly
ONC, HNC in Mechanical &/or Electronic Engineering
Exposure to the FMCG manufacturing industry (specifically food and packaging) is advantageous
Valid Driver’s License.
Upwards of 80% travel, at short notice, both locally and overseas, including some weekends.
Duties:
Manage Product Trials and completes installation & machine commissioning in accordance with the client’s specifications and layout documentation
Provide routine maintenance and planned servicing of equipment in accordance with service contracts and schedules
Provide first, second and third level support, in relation to breakdowns and/or customer queries, responding by either telephone or site visits, and within set timeframes.
Attend to customers’ requests for technical assistance:
Support and collaborate with the Project Managers on all product trials and pre-installation works, ensuring layouts are correct and all documentation has been received
