Mechanical/Electrical Field Engineer
Candidate Criteria:
·A recognised electrical qualification (ONC, OND, HNC, HND, Degree)
·Multi skilled in electrical, and mechanical disciplines
·Ability to manage stock of spares
·Good analytical problem-solving capability
·Willingness to learn new skills
·Basic workshop and fabrication skills
·Maintenance experience of equipment including electrical and mechanical
·Fully conversant of Health & Safety legislation's
·Excellent administration skills
·Previous site engineering experience with food industry experience an advantage
·16th/17th Edition qualification or knowledge of BS7671 regulations
·Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
Duties:
·Provide an excellent level of customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations;
·Receive and manage incidents and requests through the incident management system and provide real time accurate feedback on progress;
·Carry out fault finding, problem solving and establishing route causes to achieve resolution;
·Assess the severity of a situation and business impact, ensuring escalation process is adhered to;
·Manage and apply the specified level of urgency to escalations and requests for information;
·Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and controlled modifications;
·Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of health and safety adhering to policies and procedures;
·Record stock movement to ensure accurate stock control;
·Complete all required documentation ensuring that it is accurate and is audit ready;
·Provide technical support/input to projects and initiatives;
·Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness;
·Form part of the shift/standby rota.
Job Role:
You will visit customer sites to carry out planned and preventative maintenance checks as well as react to system breakdowns. You may also be required to support the installation team to help commission systems in preparation for Customer ‘go live’.
You will be proactive and understand the financial implications of any Customer down-time; and work with the Product Management team to become an expert in the technologies.
