Job Description

Technical Delivery Director

Engineering and Planning Manager

Job Role:

This is a high-impact leadership role within the senior management team, designed for a strategic powerhouse who thrives at the intersection of complex data science, robust engineering, and elite customer success.

This role would suit a Technology Director who has managed teams/projects (possibly from a start up organisation), somebody who is experienced in planning work processes and schedules sin a fast moving/changing environment.

A corporate background with "out of the box" type products and software is perhaps not suitable.

Typical skills

  • Orchestrate Excellence in SDLC within the AI era: Direct the multidisciplinary "Product Squads", comprising world-class software engineers and data scientists, to ensure monthly release cycles and bi-annual major launches are executed with precision.
  • Bridge the Gap: Act as the strategic link between internal innovation and global client implementation. You’ll engage with key technology stakeholders, ensuring the AI delivers on its "Metrics."
  • Scale the Culture: You aren’t just hiring; you’re building a legacy. You’ll design career paths, mentoring programs, and high-performance frameworks that empower teams of "adults" to take full ownership of the company’s vision.

This is a board level position and requires deep technical knowledge.

Candidate Criteria:

You should be a seasoned leader who understands that great technology is only as good as its delivery. You bring:

  • Proven Command: Extensive experience leading large, cross-functional delivery teams in a data-focused environment (Director of Engineering, Head of Development, etc.).
  • Technical Depth: You have enough "hands-on" DNA to lead both the process and the people. You understand the nuances of the tech stack and the rigours of data-driven development.
  • Client Savvy: You are comfortable in the boardroom and the field, building long-term strategic relationships with client-side technical champions.
  • Growth Mindset: You excel at turning friction into flow, optimising internal processes (QA, SLA monitoring, escalation paths) to support a scaling global business.
